ABOUT ME

My name is Emmorie Loos.

I was born in Saskatoon and raised in Vancouver.

Currently, I’m studying Graphic Design at Saskatoon Business College and will be completing my program in December 2022. Over the past 9 months I’ve been trained in graphic and web design fundamentals, as well as Adobe Creative Cloud programs like Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and After Affects.

Before starting my studies, I worked at Earls Restaurant for 12 years learning various roles such as Social Media Management, Office Administration, and finally Restaurant Management. As the Restaurant Manager I led a staff of approximately 100 people and oversaw their personal development. I also got the opportunity to generate marketing strategies and create campaigns that reached new customers and increased our sales.

While I liked my job, I wasn’t feeling creatively fulfilled. Which is why I decided to change career paths and go to school to become a graphic designer.

In my free time I enjoy reading, cooking, and playing with my cat Panya. My entire life I’ve been inspired by art. Whether it was my mom’s collection of Gustav Klimt prints, frequent family trips to museums, or reading my great grandpa’s poetry. My design work reflects who I am as a person, organized, well researched, and detail focused.
