COVER DESIGN

This project was to create a cover for a well-known magazine publication.

Fashion is Canada’s #1 fashion magazine. They are self described as “a sophisticated brand that inspires and empowers fashion and beauty lovers to try new things, be informed on the latest news and trends, and to be their best selves”. They strive to be a magazine that is all-inclusive.

When I was younger I studied fashion design and I would spend hours making collages out of fashion magazines. I felt a lot of nostalgia creating this piece, it made me feel like a teenager again

This project was to re-design a book cover using the most significant metaphor presented in the novel.

The Stand’s plot centers on a deadly pandemic of weaponized influenza and its aftermath, in which the few surviving humans gather into factions that are each led by a personification of either good or evil and seem fated to clash with each other.

Stephen King is one of my favorite authors and this book is where my mom got inspiration for my name so creating this book cover was really exciting for me. My favorite part of this project was re-discovering the book’s messages and exploring the different metaphors I could use for the design.
